Description

This simple adapter allows FT-817, FT-817ND, and FT-818 users to connect Anderson PowerPole® cables directly to the back of their radio
This is simply the best power solution for the best portable ham radio on the market!
Its compact design allows it to become a permanent part of your FT-817, FT-817ND, and FT-818
Quit worrying about voltage drop on the stock adapter’s low gauge wire
No more broken barrel plugs stuck in your radio.
Simple to install:  Just put the plug into the radio while placing the plastic shell over the radio?s ground post. Then screw in. You can still use the screw to ground your radio.
The hard-plastic 3D printed shell protects the PowerPole® and barrel plug while staying within the footprint of the rear of the radio.
Fabricated with genuine Anderson PowerPoles® and other quality components.
Includes extended length grounding screw
All units are hand-built, fully assembled and tested in the USA by an active FT-817 / FT-818 user

Note: Several have asked about the size of the PowerPole adapter and what cable they should use to interconnect with this adapter.  The answer is that both 15A and 30A PowerPoles are 100% interchangable.  The only difference between the 15A and 30A PowerPole is the size of the hole in the ferrule of the metal tab inside the plastic shell.  The hole is smaller on the 15A version making it easier to crimp on small wire.  This adapter uses 15A PowerPoles because of the 24 gauge wire on the plug.  I use 30A cables for everything in my shack because it is easier to keep everything 100% consistent.  I always use 30A cables with my FT-817 for this reason and it works perfectly.  This is my recommendation to you as well.
