Item Description:
This auction is for an old knife. It was brought back from Indonesia back in the 1960’s from a gentleman that worked for the US State Department. Overall the knife measures 14.5″ long. The blade measures about 5.75″ long, one side of the blade looks to have a figure engraved on it (see pic 5), and the other side looks like it may be buildings or something (see pic 6). The blade shows some wear and has some tarnish in areas. There is a blade gap between the blade and the handle. The handle is longer than the blade and it is curved to one side. I am not sure what the handle is made out of, could be horn. It shows some wear and has some scratches and small dings.
The knife comes with a wooden sheath with metal bands. There is a hole on one side in the center and when the knife in in the sheath you can see the figure’s head thru the hole. The metal bands show wear and scratches and tarnish.
