Retro Vintage Prewar 1936 Television Set Art Deco Style Recreation

Hand crafted fully functional recreation of a very early and rare prewar television set from the 1930’s. I use original parts from prewar radio cabinets and electronics from solid state black and white portable
television sets to bring back to life early television viewing. This set is typical in appearance of those from the late 1930’s period and is in
the
art deco style.  It has a 4″ square black and white magnifier screen. and a nice loud speaker.  Period appropriate decals, knobs (which are all functional), speaker cloth, and wood finish. Original vintage “rabbit ears” antenna will be included with this set (for display purposes).
Measurements ( approx):  16
” tall,  21″ wide and  11 1/2″ deep.  The set has been converted to coaxial and may be attached directly to a cable box, DVD/VCR player, a laptop
or any other AV source for which an adapter to coaxial exists.
Original prewar television sets from the 20’s and 30’s are extremely rare as very were made, few families could afford one and very little programming was available. Many of them were sold in kit form and the aspiring hobbyist would have to construct them to the amazement of family and friends. When original sets become available today, they command prices in the tens of thousands.
