Note: What you have here is a military radio receiver from WW2, from RT-77 GRC-9.  Someone built a power supply for it and put it in a case, normally there was a transmitter in a case with the receiver
Not tested.   From One of the largest collections on the east coast (Land Air Communications Retail Inventory, New York).  All were removed from the sales floor of this well known Radio Shop in the New York area. Owner of the shop (
Harold Guretzky, K6DPZ)  was one of the most knowledgeable radio experts in the USA.
